The
philosophy and mission of Hospitalist Management Resources is to:
- Ensure that
high quality, cost effective primary and specialty physician services
are always available to the emergency department and hospitalized
patients.
- Ensure that
all physicians who wish to participate are treated fairly and
equitably.
- Ensure that
the solution is financially sustainable over a long period of
time.
- Ensure that
the medical staff is engaged in the process of evaluating emergency
department back-up options.
- Ensure that
the program recommended to administration and board of trustees
incorporates an approach that fulfills the fiduciary responsibilities
to the hospital and its community.
- Because
we listen to your medical staff and administration, we are able
to recommend solutions that are tailored to your needs, including
hybrid solutions.
Legal Review:
Before adopting
any change in ED call reimbursement, we recommend that the client
consult their Legal Counsel to assure compliance with anti-kickback,
self-referral prohibitions (Stark I and II), fair market value analysis,
and other statutes affecting a non-profit district hospital system
